Frequently Asked Questions
Who are your clients?
Our client’s are the leaders and team members of businesses, professional firms and educational institutions. Our client’s seek an intimate experience which fosters the building and nurturing of relationships with others, and our goal is to provide the environment and service to make that a reality.
Do you have floor plans and images of the interior?
Yes, please visit our Login page to view an interactive floor plan with image galleries, meeting seating arrangements and ranch policies.
Who handles the details?
For very large groups we encourage you to use an event planner. However, many of our corporate client’s are smaller groups or frequent guests which don’t have access or need a professional planner. Fortunately, we can handle the logistical details for you to ensure that you have a hassle-free and delightful experience.
What about meals and drinks?
Some of our clients like to demonstrate their culinary skills in our well-appointed kitchen, others prefer to have meals catered, and some like the talents of a professional chef. Whatever your preferences, we can help you with all of these.
What does it cost to have our retreat at the Ranch?
The rate primarily depends on what parts of the home you desire, how many people are in your group, and any additional costs that we incur on your behalf for things like equipment rentals and meals, etc. For budgeting purposes, a typical day at the Ranch can range from $3,500 to $5,000. Please give us a call so that we can understand your goals and give you a quote.
What if our company plans several retreats and off-sites over the next year?
Many of our client’s have budgets for retreats and off-sites planned throughout the year. These budgets often extend across the organization. For those companies who can make a commitment for future bookings, which also guarantees availability, we can offer a cost effective solution to help you achieve your retreat and off-site goals.
I know you are on the coast, but do you have internet, cellular service and TV service?
We have internet service through an ATT T-1 line. This part of the coast doesn’t currently have cellular service, but Verizon has laid fiber which will light up this area in 2017. We anticipate that we’ll also get a higher bandwidth internet connection as a result of this infrastructure upgrade. TV service is provided via satellite and we have 11 separate feeds, so every bedroom has it’s own channel selection. Signals to other TVs, such as bedrooms with 2 or 3 TVs, are cloned from a nearby TV with an independent feed.
What about safety and security?
Our client’s want a retreat that is safe and secure, and we have designed the Ranch to meet those needs.
The home has a fire sprinkler system, a 65 gpm interior standpipe which can reach the entire building, and 30,000 gallons of water storage. All rooms have smoke detectors, an exit directly to the outside or onto a deck (except the Eagle’s Nest), and there are fire extinguishers on each floor.
The Ranch has a defibrillator and, If desired, we can arrange for an on-site RN. In case of an emergency, there are two landing spots for medevac service to Stanford Hospital, a short flight away.
Exterior security is provided by a single entry to the property and outside area cameras. Interior security includes motion detectors, perimeter contacts and other non-intrusive devices. If needed, accommodations for security personnel are available.
